Our mayor invited me to a meeting to discuss Blue Zone certification for the town. I said I believe it’d be a waste of money and time that only benefits the certifying body. Our town has a deficit to fix first.

Perhaps I’m judging harshly. Does anyone here know about this? Or live in a “Blue Zone Community®”?

That’s the idea. We already get a lot of tourists. Depending on who you’re talking to in the town, some will say too many, some will say not enough. The wellness businesses are most excited by the marketing prospect.
