Genuinely curious — what do people think of Harris not having done an interview or press conference since becoming the presumptive nominee?

Trump was doing a lot better before he started talking more. I thought the “send Jared on big podcasts to appeal to moderates while Trump stays quiet” strategy was smart, and it started turning when he rambled at the convention

Part of it is that the messaging for his convention speech seemed so obvious and he rambled and did the old Trump thing instead, it felt incompetent

I think it’s both. A lot of this is extrapolating from my personal feelings, but him talking less let me project all the good things onto him and kind of forget about the rest.

I think it has less to do with Trump talking and more replacing a deeply unpopular candidate who had clear public displays of cognitive decline.
