I was fortunate enough to be in Ozzy’s presence just once, on a hot summer in 1999 at Ozzfest. 

- Ozzy performed as part of a reunited Black Sabbath which was a treat in and of itself 
- Diabolus in Musica era Slayer
- Around the Fur era Deftones
- Hellbilly Deluxe era Rob Zombie
- Obsolete era Fear Factory
- Slipknot, System of a Down, and Static-X all supporting their respective debut albums
- Antipop era Primus (with bonus Buckethead)

an *extremely* formative musical day for then 16 year old me and what a perfect snapshot on time. many of these bands went on to headline arenas.
