(1965) NERVA program was pretty cool. It's still a good idea, that's probably worth revisiting at some point - Thrust: ~55k lbf - Isp: ~840 (vacuum) - Propellant: CH4, LOX Just for reference, Starship + Superheavy (Raptor engines) are - Thrust: ~500K lbf - Isp ~380 (vacuum) - Propellant: LH2 But look at that Isp!
