Spending this week working near Solano county which has come in recent news for many tech VCs buying up the area for building a city here. Drove around to explore. I’m all for progress but it’d be a shame if they get rid of the refreshing space here. Cattle roaming freely, rolling green hills. Mini-Ireland vibes.

friend visiting town recently had a related reflection: we get to see the art and architecture years later b/c someone in control of resources (rich, nobels, kings?) not only became patron but decided to open them for public consumption. we've lost that now it seems. whose helping bring great art to life and allowing public consumption today?

Will become a walled space eventually. Tbh that’s the experience I had living in the Bay for 3 years. There was a great Indian restaurant that my patients at Google would mention but only accessible to Google employees. It was similar with great coffee shops and many chefs closing shop and just catering to select few. Same is the case with many concerts as well.
