You were meant to shield me,  
But you left me for the vultures.  

You swore it was “Till death do us part”
Yet you were the storm that broke my heart.  

You were meant to be the shoulder I leaned on,  
But your silence drowned me

We were supposed to grow old as friends,  
But now we’re strangers  
wearing the ghosts of our laughter.  

They told me love was peace,  
but yours was a battlefield.  
They said it would be sunlight,  
but you left me in the rain.  

You looked in my eyes and vowed forever
But “FOREVER” you lied.  

This isn’t the love I dreamed of.  
This isn’t the love I deserved.  

Where do I go now?  
Love left me hollow
a house with no walls,  
a name with no home.  

Help me remember who I was  
Before I became this kind of broken.
