Memecoins are a bootloader for “real” assets onchain.

If you are disenchanted, I understand. But what’s being built is a much better financial system, and we cannot get there w/o memecoins.

Bitcoin = 10x better gold.
Stablecoins = 10x better USD.
Tokens = 10x better assets.

2017 - altcoins 
2020 - altcoins with food emojis 
2021 - altcoins with pictures 
2024 - altcoins with memes
2025 - altcoins with vibe-coded apps

The real “internet capital markets” comes when developers can issue equity coins that have real claims on real cash flows.

Hoffman is basically saying only cash flow is “real”. Lots of “real” things of value are intangible externalities. 

If tokens are just for cash flows then we don’t need to bother with them. Neither gold or bitcoin has cash flow.
