Here's what I want to know about the Zohran Mamdani win. What's your take?
Is this bullish for the Democrat Party?
OR
Will this be part of a shift away from the Dems who hate leftists like Mamdani (party leadership I mean, not members)?
Would he run independent or in a leftist Party if it was feasible in NY?
Is the Dem Party capturable by the Left even where Bernie failed?
I remain unconvinced but this is a big win in a Dem primary so many people will be asking.

That's the thing though is we need a vanguard left with a strong position, for others to have any leverage when they're on the coalition building strategy side of the movement. Of course, her Congressional run is a big longshot though with that approach.

I dig her politics, but her coalition building leaves a lot to be desired. She's good at activism, but it comes at the expense of working to enact a vision.  This was what it saw when she was on the city council and I hope she's worked on this to be more effective.

Make sure to check out Kshama Sawant running for US Congress as a Socialist out of Seattle!! She's one of the country's best leftist politicians and it would be massive to get her on the national stage.

Hopefully this cripples the dnc and shows outside candidates that a campaign of the people can overwhelm the establishment
