"why don't we have a 3rd party??? we should make a 3rd party" no we need ranked choice, two rounds of voting, and to abolish the electoral college

The duopoly won't ever allow actually-democratic procedures to be implemented. We've been trying for decades. The strategy needs to be building a third party as best we can within the current antidemocratic system which is deeply connected to a coalition of social movements outside the corrupt political system, until such time as there's a paradigm shift and the imperialist duopoly collapses in some way because the people are organized and stronger than the State violence that represses us.

issue is there's probably no single 3rd party that could gain enough from both parties to sustainably grow. most governments have either two parties or 10+, so it'll be hard to create The Third Party. But I agree the establishment will not want this as much, but we're seeing ranked choice voting in states already, it'll bubble up
