that sounds like it's really favouring LRT protocols vs. doing it yourself.. esp. since you can participate in the e.g. etherfi airdrop season 2 if you restake through them. I had considered staking some eth directly on eigenlayer but doesn't seem optimal atm?

yeah, i hope so too. though maybe points get you AVS airdrops like if eigenDA comes out with a token

I am restaking for some time now and also went through upgrading to the new thing.

But it's expensive AF. Points better mean a token, otherwise we are eating a huge loss for .... helping them test the system.
