Want to see how a totalitarian regime turns the judiciaryâwhich should be independentâinto its own weapon?
Three years ago, during Iranâs "Woman, Life, Freedom" uprising, a private car carrying a family was shot at. A teenage boy, "Kian Pirfalak", was killed, and his father was wounded but survived. Kian became one of the symbols of Iranâs resistance.
So, what did the corrupt regime do? They arrested a random protester (Mojahed Kourkour) and falsely accused him of the shootingâeven though Kianâs parents gave video statements saying, "We saw who shot at our carâthey were the regimeâs security forces, NOT this person theyâre lying about!"
Guess the ending? Today, the dictatorship executed "Mojahed Kourkour" on those exact fake charges.
This is how "justice" works under tyranny. 5 replies
