Yeah I was hesitant on this post without the explicit addition of “as we know it” since it’s clear our perception of intelligence is myopic at best

and honestly we don't even know what the content of consciousness are for elephants, octopus, or even dolphins, which are arguably the next animals in line for the ability of critical thought domination of the planet

I think it’s more of a sliding scale. Most people I know are very close to truly thinking but not quite there. Also realizing I am unbearably arrogant as I type this
