I Miss U Like Fire Misses Flame -By Me It’s late & I can’t find my peace This empty room won’t grant release. The ceiling holds no trace of u Just quiet walls I’m talking to. U weren’t just pretty soft or kind U carved Ur name into my mind. Not just a spark u were the light That made my shadows feel allright. Ur eyes?Not stars they struck like rain A silent storm that sang my name. They knew my truths I’d never speak They saw the cracks beneath the sleek. I miss the way u moved through air Like love itself had settled there. U didn’t walk u left a trace, Like ghosts that never leave a place. Ur voice still lingers in my chest It rises when I try to rest. I hear it in the quiet hum A melody that doesn’t come. I’ve touched the world, but all feels wrong No touch has felt like u so long. I miss u not in passing thought But in each fight that life has brought. I miss u deep without disguise A world feels dead without ur eyes. No poem,no song,no light,no view Can fill the space that once was u.
