Why is US GDP growth so weirdly constant?

More importantly, why is it constant between 2-3%?

Why not 1%? Or 10%?

it's not a random occurrence; there is like a preferred economic growth zone at 2-3% so the levers that a competent gov pull keep us there

i like coffee, crypto, animals, plants, drones, 3D printing, midjourney, pizza, and stickers

It's tied to things like average population growth rates and labor productivity improvements. 

It's just the statistical average that's been sustainable, rather than an arbitrary constraint.

Let it swing out of that range and you start getting worse inflation and unemployment problems. Case in point: every single market boom/bust cycle.

Complex systems are finicky like that.

But if it were available, sure. Who wouldn't love more!

i think the government would love higher growth rate if it were available
