Our mayor invited me to a meeting to discuss Blue Zone certification for the town. I said I believe it’d be a waste of money and time that only benefits the certifying body. Our town has a deficit to fix first. Perhaps I’m judging harshly. Does anyone here know about this? Or live in a “Blue Zone Community®”?

They’re regions where people live longer, healthier lives. What my town might look at specifically is the certification process, which requires 1) audit, 2) improvement projects. I’m still skeptical but will share more details from the meeting today in the channel later. I was surprised to hear how many other towns in California are pursuing this too.
