Evening all, so what is everyone thinking regarding increasing the gas limits? Raising to 40M seems to be getting a lot of support. I have just changed my Nethermind client to target 40M but would be keen to hear some more views and opinions

I honestly don't understand what the motivation behind the support is. It increases burdens on validators with (afaict) no meaningfully permanent improvement to end users. Who is pushing for this and why?
