I’m partially surprised at how few people see that before any great industrial renaissance there must first come a great financial restructuring. Like, why do people bash the fact that money, and speculation of it, exist in every facet of what the current frontier tech stack offers. You think people moved to California to mine gold because gold was the greatest discovery? F* no, it’s because there existed a moment to monetize, speculate, and for many improve quality of life by a new “means”. ~75yrs after the peak of the gold rush in the US, we had another financial change, the USD, and a ton of speculation went into the dollarization of the world. Now we’re going into digital currency and building out the behavior of digital economics with an explosion of digital currencies and speculation. A rant of a thought, from seeing several post about how much crypto is focused on “money” or “speculation”. Yeah, it is, because that’s what comes before adoption at larger economic scale.

I literally just sat down with my partner earlier this week and talked through this concept, the opportunities (and risky bets) I see ahead and to prep her for a wild next few months bc I’m damn sure going to do everything I can to get ahead of send opportunities so we can get in the best position possible for our future selves and future generations.

It’s really a very interesting time to be alive and at the edge of civilization. I think most of here are really in the midst of that opportunity if we seize it.
