Artificial Intelligence (AI)

This diatribe is super exciting to me. 

If the jump from chimps to humans produced space flight, modern industrialism, nuclear power, etc., imagine what a super-intelligence will give us.

Nuclear fusion? Space travel beyond our moon? Quantum computing at scale? Solutions to global warming? World hunger? Cancer? 

And drilling down to the less extreme, imagine the capabilities of humanity given the freedom to escape the binds of the mundane. The capacity of time has never been available to modern humans. That may change given a future led by super intelligence and AI. 

We may get to live through one of the greatest transformations in history. That has to be exciting to you, no?

i'm finding it increasingly difficult to participate in modern discourse to the point that i don't really know what to do or how to talk to people

over the past few years, i've seen the capabilities of ai continue to improve, and all the goalposts of what ai should/shouldn't be
