Actually worked with someone at Intel who went thorugh this. He used BTC to buy some VPn service when it was under a dollar, and had hundreds of them. But he reset his HDD at some point and couldn't ever recover the data

I didn’t understand wtf my friend was talking about when he was trying to give me $5 worth of Bitcoin in 2010 & simply brushed him off 😩

Though.. had he succeeded I prob would have been that guy trying to find my old hard drive in a garbage pit the size of a small town by the time I figured it out in 2017 🤓
