Upgrading from 300 Mbps to 940 Mbps today, wish me luck!

I've got 1 Gbps at the fiber box. Problem is wifi is the limiting factor.

I'm doing some home renovations currently and running a couple of ethernet cables to various locations is part of the plan. 🤣

I think that's when you're standing right next to the wifi router and have absolutely no interference. I'm two rooms over and my wifi scan shows over 20 other networks (even though I'm in a single-family home), so you'll never get max speed. I'm not sure I've ever seen >500 Gbps with my setup (using wifi 6).

Running everything through a VPN will reduce it a lot as well

I've got 1Gbps at the fiber box, just like promised. So my reduction in throughput is purely the wifi. If you've got fiber to the house wifi will generally be the biggest bottleneck.

What could be some bottlenecks to get this really high?

ISP -> Router -> Receiver -> Laptop?
