21% of the ocean is getting darker?!and 9% of it, a region the size of the ENTIRE content of Africa, has lost 50/200 meters of its life-bearing photic zone where 90% of marine life lives? :0 because of algal blooms? Oh wow, I learned something new today 🙏 I always knew pollution was an issue, but I mostly thought about the viral videos like straws stuck in animals or plastic making it harder for them to swim. But darkening the ocean? That’s wild. Never realized pollution blocks sunlight and disrupt entire ecosystems. It’s deeper than I thought, literally. Someone needs to show this to the politicians because plastic straws are apparently back 😒

Yah… actually, there are a wide range of issues for plastic pollution!! Microplastics are killer too!! There’s some stuff about it I’m never gonna post on here because I remember and have a panic attack XD 😅
