How am I supposed to send my boys to school when they’re ready?

I’m tearing up thinking about the kids who’re not going to return home 😭, their families, their Christmas gifts.

One of my daughter’s complaints about moving to middle school is that there aren’t as many good hiding spots if a shooting happens.

Who knows maybe enough CEOs will get shot to give us gun control.

It’s crazy that this is embedded in their minds so early.

It’s a normal thing now. Every week or 2, there’s a school shooting. That’s just life in America. This has been a problem since I was in middle school. It’s easily fixable, and everyone knows how to fix it, we just.. don’t. And it will continue to accelerate as long as we don’t do anything about it.

I’m so sick of it. I’m sick of hardened schools. I’m sick of SROs. Sick of stupid active shooter drills. Sick of all the harmful bullshit implemented that will never fix the problem, because the root cause is never addressed.
