Been reading Necropolitics by Achille Mbembe this month. Quite a timely read in a world where we let drones conduct large-scale killings powered by "AI" in the name of politics and supposed freedom. Good for profit (of Palantir).

If you like a bit of "light" reading - smart science fiction but set only a decade or so into the future - so the tech already exists - I can highly recommend Daniel Suarez. His book Kill Decision deals with this issue - it's super thought provoking and a really fun read. (I've read all his other books and they're great too!). https://www.goodreads.com/book/show/15808659-kill-decision
