While I'd love to buy into that this will just entice people to read from real humans, if they don't even know what a real human sounds anymore how is that gonna work?

wholeheartedly agreee. most of what I read is writers I subscribed to quite consciously, because of their own voice. Social feeds are another place where it's just better to just not engage with much. 

meanwhile in the library or indie bookshop very unlikely that you end up reading slop.

ai writing has been so "oppressively tiresome" as one comment on reddit puts it, that i ended up spending less time online altogether instead of wasting my energy trying to navigate oceans of slop
