one confusion I see a lot of mini app devs have is thinking the trending list is important to user growth relatively few people open mini apps from this list even the apps in the top 10 are driving 98+ % of their daily users from notifications or in-feed shares instead of worrying about this focus on 1) sending high quality notifications to your existing users to get them to come back and 2) creating interesting opportunities for them to share embeds in feeds or DCs—that's the loop the trending list is a thermometer not a thermostat!

This very useful to know thanks for sharing @deodad . Trending and app ranking has typically been a driver for additional organic growth, and hence it's understandable the thinking that this would be similar here. 100% agree that quality interactions are key drivers. I'm wondering what the teams KPIs are though for surfacing trending and category ranking if not to drive additional attention.
