A lot of my replies have been going unliked recently I wonder if we’ve signed ourselves up for so many pay to like services that it’s having a cooling effect on engagement It used to be that basically every reply was sure to get a like from the OP at least Something something skin in the game, revealed preferences, etc Or maybe I am just not posting good posts

Could it also be increased spam has made notifications almost unmanageable for some? I find it more difficult lately to be as on top of replies as I used to be. Two factors I see: being on leaderboard attracts engagement farmers and spam spillover from Base app. I’ve been speaking with the creator of a mini app called ReplyCaster in the hope it will help.

was going to say this ^ i miss a lot of replies + also am much more stringent handing out engagement because i no longer am 100% sure if it's a human, and even if it is a human, are they engaging with me just so i will boost them or tip them or wtv

don't want to spam but tried to solve that a bit with my vibeshift mini app, it puts you in control of what notifications you'll get and doesn't let an algo you may or may not agree with decide

Haha thanks, not spam, but I don’t use farcaster notifications! I use /uno notifications which don’t have any algo to them , we just use the spam filter merkle has in their merkle-team repo Missing replies is more of a volume thing - I get hundreds a day and if I don’t respond to one right when I see it, it gets buried/lost in the mix 🥲
