I've heard that accounts labeled as spam can be risky to my own account. I'm considering unfollowing them to protect my space, but I'm worried about accuracy. I don't want to unfollow a friend only to find out that they would've been cleared of the spam label if I had waited a bit longer. I'm trying to figure out how long I should wait before making a decision. I still don't fully understand how the spam labeling system works

Some are also falsely flagged spam. I don't think it matters for your own account. You should unfollow them if you really think they are spammy /don't like their content

Thanks, I'm so relieved! I've been having mixed feelings about unfollowing friends, especially new ones I'm getting to know. I'm glad it doesn't affect my account in any way. Thanks so much for taking the time to explain this to me.
