just made a blues guitar list with someone and they dropped this track. Absolute insane guitar playing - keyboard work is pretty mental too ;-p. https://open.spotify.com/track/2mWcuRLeE4tNM6EfUbQPXP?si=07f2947424f144f1

So, let's start with a cover of the blues classic "Loan Me A Dime". Dave Meniketti (singer and guitarrist in Y&T) covers the song in his debut solo album "On The Blue Side" (1998). https://open.spotify.com/track/0utSSFLHA1lfTprfnS7PtS

And if you were going to lead with Loan Me A Dime - I'd prob come back with Robert Cray's Don't Touch Me: https://open.spotify.com/track/0Mmun94RppUQlQUwjlowWY?si=4483f15f5697471d ;-pp

Yeah! That's it! Great Robert Cray! What about the actual guitarrist for Deep Purple, the irish Simon McBride. Since I listened to his debut album, I've been following him (I even booked him for a festival). A first class guitar player. https://open.spotify.com/track/5hKKXD7biPKQE5IhAKalXc

First class indeed. Just off his tone I was thinking Jeff Healy - my mind went to his cover of While My Guitar - not "exactly" blues but still - epic solo ;-p https://open.spotify.com/track/1T94tcUfe2X74nriMCAWQa?si=b2c9a14d080b47df

Lance Lopez grew up in Dallas, Texas so Stevie Ray Vaughn's influences are there... but lot of Hendrix too! https://open.spotify.com/track/291jrye6rLrj51ubsvKIc5

Yeah, he can sound a bit like Jeff Healey. I discovered that "While My Guitar Gently Weeps" was from The Beatles when I first listened to the JH cover. I was not interested in The Beatles those days 😂
