reply guys

I'm working with a team who are considering doing a small airdrop for active farcaster users

what can I say to pitch them the idea that the airdrop should be for /replyguys specifically? How can we make it as fair as poss? What's the best way to get across the value of the replyguys community?

would need to probably limit the total number of accounts airdropped to 1000-2000 at first so I figured picking a "high value" community like /replyguys could be a good way to do a large chunk of that filtering

maybe a weighted percentage that favors reply guys but ignoring all of warpcast may be a misstep...

yeah we'd 100% need to limit the airdrop to only people of "real value" (i.e. not bots and not just ppl spamming to try and beg for degen for example) but I don't know what the best way is to express that currently. Super open to suggestions though!

We really need a way to determine the quality of casts as well. Isn't there a cast action that shows that? I wonder if it could be done programmatically to filter out low-effort casters

Maybe something more fair like engagement since that's what replyguys are based on

essentially they are gonna want to feel like by giving to replyguys, they're giving to an important community based on some kind of metric; reach, enagagement, capital, etc. I'm just not sure what the right metric would be to surface there atm!

Maybe you could do airdrop based on what’s % of a users replies are in the reply guys channel
