This makes me wonder if there is any chance open ai or big ai is gunning for immersive tech similar to VR. If an AI can generate an environment on the fly that’s immersive enough, isn’t that basically better VR?

VR and this kind of AI is so out of my league but I can't help but wonder about what it might do. 

It is shocking to me how the chat style AI became so useful and revolutionary in many ways, to many people in recent years. Which is why I wonder if some breakthrough in VR rendering or graphics will be a new breakthrough in a few years.

AI is not doing any VR graphics (source: I’m deep in VR development for the last decade)

Most AI in VR is in the vision and tracking models for headsets.

Rendering itself is still old school render pipelines.

I doubt their device is VR. If it’s a face thing it’s probably glasses.
