I thought so. This is might be the most complicated trade deal in history and you've got one side (USA) that has ridiculous demands but China has a better hand to play. China has made an effort to diversify trade since the first Trump term and now relies on trade with the USA much less than it used to. China has me more of a culture/habit of savings. America has much higher private and public debt. Really the only good arrow in the US quiver is dominance in semi conductors. I'm honestly not sure how Trump can pull this off without damaging his massive ego significantly.
