I mean, the cypherpunks were wrong. The Extropians were the one's that recognized that as technology becomes more complex, you need global corporations to produce the high quality products that people demand. All these "cypherpunks" in crypto are buying macbooks and iPhones, and can't even be bothered to make the marginal change to use even Linux.

We don't see corporations using open ledger global financial data ledgers as bad at all. It's not only better for society, even if it's silo'd, but expected.
