What do you think about political parties receiving donations in crypto, given the transparency concerns? I plan on reporting on this very subject and am seeking the @farcaster community’s insights into this article and responsible crypto political finance. https://decrypt.co/330810/labour-mps-ban-crypto-political-donations-attack-reform-uk.

I agree with androidsixteen here. Its kind of ridiculous to ban crypto donations, first on the fact that you can send stablecoins, and second, its pretty much impossible to enforce since addresses are psudeoanon. I get the response since this is really about foreign money influencing elections, but there's a fair discussion to be had about why we do that anyways in a globally integrated economy. I do think we're trying to model politics like its 1900s in a world with 2025 technology, and calling for "bans" probably isn't a real solution. 100 $tipn
