An unexpected outcome of the recent vibe shift is that more people I know (and respect) are open about their "climate change" skepticism Mostly disagreement about causes & severity, but it's a strange position bc it's disconnected from observable reality Imo the cause is a red herring — more important to feel the volatility

less disagreements about causes and severity imo, more about the helpless, emotional paralysis that comes with its invocation immensely frustrating out here in LA after the fires the way a lot of people just say "ugh climate change" instead of daring to hold their elected government even slightly accountable, when there were very obvious examples of mismanagement over a large enough sample size, accurate to say climate change exacerbates the problem, but forest fires have also existed in SoCal for 10000 years and we have the ability to mitigate any one fire's effect
