Starbucks begins offering free "study rooms" at select locations in China Question: do you go to cafe for study or work? or coffee and chill? 🤔

I often go there to work in between tasks. Free WiFi and power. It’s a shame that many in malaysia are closing down, due to competition from local chains and/or Chinese chains

Honestly I’d like to say it’s Starbucks. But there are local ones like zus coffee which are now maybe double the size. There was a massive boycott Starbucks campaign because of the Palestine issue

Oh dang... understandable. Here in Korea, it’s a similar situation — not the local brands, but the cheaper chains are expanding and gaining more dominance.

I like that in seoul at least there are so many coffee shops everywhere. And the culture is to have a good americano after lunch. Last time I was there it seems Mega is growing. So much bigger than Holly’s, a twosome place or even caffe bene. But at least with so many you always can find power + wifi. Not so in kl anymore

you know! Mega is breaking the rank now. they always bring up a creative menu, with reasonable price

Haha I’m so boring I will only drink a hot or iced black. But also a lot of mega is like booths less space than your typical coffee shop to sit inside and enjoy the environment
