i've been working *a lot* on regulating my nervous system for the past 8 weeks i was having several panic attacks a day + waking up a ton throughout the night + night sweats + unable to sleep in past 6:30 no matter what time i went to bed the past two days my body has finally let me sleep in (8:30 and 9!!), which means my cortisol is no longer spiking unnecessarily overnight and my parasympathetic nervous system is starting to retake dominance (rest and digest vs fight or flight mode) big signal that all my regulation work is finally working 🥳 ✨

i did sooo much i can't pinpoint anything specific but it was a combo of: > removing caffeine for the first 2 weeks > eating at least 2,000 calories a day > daily walks outside > strength training > keeping my phone in another room while i sleep > completely revamping my morning routine (no phone for first hour, big glass of water + lemon juice + salt, go for a walk, breakfast before coffee) > being easy on myself/not guilting myself for needing to relax
