As a kid, I dreamed of being an archeologist. History fascinated me (still does). Digging up jungle temples and tombs sounded thrilling. At 13, I devoured Greek and Roman history books and chatted with my history teacher about it. Basically, I was obsessed. Eerie that he was able to predict: • Genetically engineered humans • Soma = our Adderall, Xanax, SSRIs, and dopamine scrolling loops • Sex stripped and devalued of intimacy, mandated for social stability (dating app culture) • Ritualized entertainment that sedates, not inspires (Tik tok brain rot) • Consumerism baked into identity (losing spirituality and replacing it with buying things to make us feel whole)
