Subtweeting a cherished FC friend: Almost nothing makes me angrier than being stuck behind some mush brained soy addled dipshit behind the wheel of a Prius waiting for a line of nuisance geese to cross the road, while I watch in my rear view mirror as some texting fat woman in a three ton Suburban closes in on me at highway speeds. It’s a fucking bird. You’re seriously going to put human lives at risk to live out your imbecilic Disney princess fantasy? That kind of person should be dragged out of their car and beaten. Infuriating.

Hahahaha tell me you’re not Canadian without telling me you’re not Canadian. TBF the picture was taken on Sunday BUT everyone was slowing down and giving the geese a lane - Ford F150s, Priuses, Cybertrucks, etc.

I maintain that this is misguided courtesy Massive underestimate of the risks of automobiles Massive overestimate of the relative value of animal lives vs human lives Plus, those animals will move if you crowd them I adore Canadians, but imo this is a case of good intentions and good nature producing a poor outcome

You weren't there, sooooo how could you know the risks/outcomes? Human lives were never at risk. From my perspective there was no risk, and a slight positive outcome. The only apparent negative was people had to slow down a bit and...honestly that's also a positive IMHO. There wasn't a safety issue - people were slowing down well before they got to the geese, and it wasn't a highway, it was a local road. So human/animal lives aren't really an argument here - everything was orderly and safe. If we were going high speed - I wouldn't slam on the breaks if an animal darted out in front of me. This is something we learn in driver's school here. But for a family of geese on a local road on a Sunday, it's a nice moment.

OK, I found the picture, you're clearly in an urban area where you should be able to stop easily just for the sake of also not hitting kids etc. Straight up running over the geese would be a psychopathic move here.
