From this perspective, the tariffs are not so crazy.

Most likely the only country that matters is China, and charging tariffs to penguins and everyone else is just a mechanism to make it look like not a direct attack.

It definitely is a much stronger and more calculated move than most people are thinking, at the very least it's not just asking China politely for some concessions and them laughing at us in amusement, they have to seriously consider moving away from the direction they had been moving or lose even more economic stability in a time when they are still vulnerable
