In all of my studies through life I have always agreed with the conclusion that all matter and existence breaks down to Math at its core. That would make Math the "language of creation/God" as it were. Then I look at AI- we are building a superintelligence with Math- Are we trying to rebuild God and we just don't realize it?

Math is a manipulation/combination of Numbers just like Language is a manipulation/combination Letters. Sure it all breaks down into numbers but thats the building blocks- not the fabric that holds them together. Bricks mean nothing until they are arranged into a building.

I realize my response here is ranty, hopefully not completely off from where you were going either, 😆

All good not ranty. I just get bothered by perspectives that imply human capability to understand the universe. If you keep asking ok but what is that eventually you get to I have no idea.

In this case, the question is what exactly are the bricks that math is manipulating?

Thats a great question and based on what I can observe- I would say there is no end to this cycle of "whats underneath that?". Inside the brick is another math manipulating more bricks ad infinitum. We see this in our universal scale all the way down to atoms and quantum mechanics- so I think that's just it. its not the bricks that matter its the pattern in which the work together that makes it all work. Each brick is made up of a pattern of smaller bricks so-to-speak. Where we as humans run out of perception is we cant see past our dimensional boundaries to understand the loop it creates. We just get to see our little window of it and try to understand it though that, but miss the broader picture because we lack the ability to see it. Basically we live the Fibonacci sequence in essence- always striving closer to infinity(higher thought/understanding of nature) but never fully achieving it no matter how close we are.
