I actually saw a funny stat recently: If you ask any American, every other country is a socialist hell hole and their government supports too many programs. When you actually look at the data, the US government spends 7% of its GDP, while Canada and other countries are around 2% a year. We are mathematically spending more than many European countries in GDP terms, and the current administration flat out failed to reign it in. Rates should go up in that environment.

America richer and hide socialism aspect better but like you said, it’s def there. Surprisingly high % of country pays net negative taxes (including income distributions)
