Sometimes I really get the impression that the EU is some kind of scam.

E.g. they will say that we are a union of trade partners, but I can almost not believe that looking at e.g. how travel is enabled through the EU.

E.g. if you look up point to point transportation options between places you will find that there are often only recreational options like Ryanair available. At the same time, there‘s usually like one night train per day between two far apart cities or smth like this. International trains barely exist. And a car trip would take several days.

If there was actual business between these places you‘d think the transportation would have to be really sophisticated and include options for business travelers. Or are they all flying on 30€ Ryanair flights?

I don’t think it’s an impression. It’s likely a cognitive dissonance you’re experiencing between what we’re told we should’ve seeing and what you’re perceiving.

Regardless, EU is a scam. And we’re paying for it.
