I actually prefer current content not stuff that’s done before. 

And I think content is either timely or timeless. 

And a lot of the past work might seem timeless, but is it really?

So yeah, algorithm should reward more timely things, but today we are more focused on DAU number go up, and retention

I understand why someone would post their past work, they own it and they are proud of it. and of course they can’t justify making new original content just for FC.

the non-stop barrage of archive content certainly feels like farming the community for leaderboard rank though. probably not the intention mind you.

This is the way. The more farcaster exclusive content we see of value, the more people will find they need to flock here. 

Basically, provide alpha that people can’t find anywhere else.

I also do agree that it’s ones one creative work and you can share it everywhere. And I think we deserve more content (original or shared elsewhere we might have missed). 

I didn’t think about the leaderboard farming till you mentioned it. I don’t think this is the intention, probably. 

Overall, i just prefer more stuff here - so we never have to leave for somewhere else

I wouldn’t mind seeing your past photos :) but I find it’s too much effort to post past accolades. Maybe that’s why I’m not content creator. 

Vibe shift can be a good thing. We all succeed when the network succeeds.

I mean, it’s either farming for clout, leaderboard rank, or some combination. otherwise you’d just post things like a normal person but that won’t get you very far unless you’re excellent at posting.

I had a career as a professional photographer and artist but I don’t spend everyday on here posting images I made, places I went, etc. I guess I could, but feels a bit like bragging about past accomplishments rather than writing about my current interests, what I’m up to, etc.

anyway, as you say… the more content, the better so net positive. you can just feel the vibe shift.
