so I accidentally stepped on one of the pulls from my bedroom blinds, shattered the plastic, and got a piece stuck in my foot. just had it surgically removed without local anaesthesia! how’s your day going?

just a surprisingly weird procedure. I went in 100% expecting freezing but he just went and did it with a scalpel which was jarring.

apparently there is a very high number of nerve endings in the foot so they avoid local anesthesia whenever possible. makes sense but it is very counterintuitive.
