two of my friends from university are like suuuuuper down (or up) the arbonne MLM pyramid scheme train like they've been doing this for almost a decade now and manage multiple "teams" under them and have gotten to VP level? their entire facebook feed is several posts a day from them on how much better their life has been since selling Arbonne and how empowered it makes them feel and how much effort and time it has taken to build their *own business*??? so weird to observe from afar

definitely weird and cult-y company culture but if they’re earning more than their peers… not much else matters

if it’s a traditional MLM, there’s maybe like 1% of them that make an actual living off of it, everyone else just breaks even or goes into debt I’m sure
