I’d love to recommend Melano CC Premium. (The premium is easier to spread) You put this on immediately after rinsing your face in the AM and let it sink in for about 5 minutes. It makes your sunscreen more effective and is a great formulation. The secret though is the packaging. It comes out a drop at a time so it doesn’t oxidize and the packaging is light proof, which is key. It may not be the strongest formula on the market but it will last you 4-6 months and work as good on day one as day 100. Most packing for vitamin C is terrible and all marketing BS. Anything in glass is dead on arrival. https://www.yesstyle.com/en/rohto-mentholatum-melano-cc-vitamin-c-premium-essence-20ml/info.html/pid.1100207765

ooooh appreciate the recco, thank you! I think I need to start with something milder than ascorbic acid. have you ever had any adverse reactions from this one?

I haven’t. Japanese acids are super super light and nothing like their American counterparts. You can also start it as a spot treatment for any discoloration. It’s a very gentle formulation. You might be more sensitive if using other acids and have to work up to using them with other acidic toners. I’ve also been using it 15+ years so my skin is very used to it!
