are there video specs guidelines anywhere for farcaster app and base app? e.g. resolution, file size, HDR vs. SDR, supported codecs and containers, etc.

on mobile this is definitely looking quite squashed, so my guess is that HDR is a no-go. would be helpful to have this spelled out somewhere.

I would happily default to something basic like mp4/h264/10mbps if that will give better output in-feed, but I have no idea re: best practices at present.

HDR definitely not working at present, also unclear to me if processing is converting wider colour spaces like P3 to sRGB or similar

haha yeah, that's a pretty low limit. I wonder if either app supports HVEC to get the file size down with similar quality or if they're limited to H264.

For starters, my videos have to be under 100MB. I have to lower the resolution just to post on here 🥲

My experience: 
they supports HLS video streams with H.264 + AAC codecs. Include multiple resolutions .mp4, H.264, AAC, 720/1080p

I don’t think there is a direct MP4 Upload for now
