If @dwr.eth wants more clients, open sourcing Warpcast like how @uniswap open sources their web and mobile apps would be a great first step Just like Android, and many others Strong brand means majority will still use Warpcast But getting and maintaining feature parity will be easier for would-be competitors

I think (perhaps counter-intuitively), the more the stack becomes commoditized (good apis, os client starters, etc), the less likely that we'll see a true WC competitor, not more.

I partly agree. I think having an open-source Warpcast lets someone experiment super easily. Got one feature you want to see if people find interesting? Great, you can do this in weeks not months. Also, more apps that don't look like WC will come up. Eg. focused on a specific medium like music or art, etc
