Is this kind of "acquisition" directly downstream of anti-trust concerns or am I missing something?

no idea what the founders were going to make here but it's possible that they made more by going to Google

"Anti-trust concerns" does not exist during this admin was my understanding. Seems like some people are theorizing Microsoft blocked this due to their OpenAI stake & Copilot.

If this becomes more common, why would anyone join a startup
