Our big goal is building a Farcaster native media network. We started live streaming Farcaster news in September 2023, back when weekly active users were less than 1000 and you still needed an invite to join. We’ve been doing shows 3x a week since then, covering news, announcements and culture stories. In addition to the flag ship news show, we have 2 email newsletters, a 12 part onboarding series, helped produce several other series, and run competition game called Cast Out (next season starts Monday!) How much of the show did you watch? We’re always open to feedback, esp from the perspective of new people! 🙏 Here’s some more info about what we’re doing: https://mediakit.gmfarcaster.com

Watched the whole show It was the post farcon show — around 70 minutes long Do you find there is enough going on to make a show 3x a week? How do you think about the “in crowd” nature of the content? On one hand it plays to a niche audience and likely builds trust in them. On the other hand (as an outsider) it comes across a bit exclusionary — I understand this is a tough balance in any audience creation motion

Great point, thank you for raising it - it’s something I’ve thought about. I think you happened to pick the one show that probably sounded way more insider-y than is typical, given the nature of farcon and clanker drama. We want to be like the morning news, your high school’s announcements, good morning America - not a niche show for insiders. Something we’ll have to keep in mind as the network grows. I haven’t worried about it too much because we’ve gotten feedback that new people have found our show and said it really helped them understand how to get plugged in and understand the nuances - @maryams.eth @mikadoe.eth @yes2crypto.eth as new people once in time, any thoughts here?

When I first joined Farcaster (a little over a year ago) I was super curious and watched anything I could find about it on youtube. I stumbled on GMFarcaster videos (not realizing they were live at the time). I liked learning about the ecosystem from the outside looking in. One day I caught a live show and it felt surprisingly approachable. Over time, it became like a familiar homeroom and a fun welcoming way to start the day and stay in the loop. It's since become a core part of my personal Farcaster experience 💜
